They have so much flavour" ORGANIC CERTIFICATION There are stringent standards that we must adhere to as certified organic growers. The Soil Association is the UK body that inspects us every year and issues our certificate for the year. REASONS TO EAT ORGANIC Organic food does not contain food additives (as stated by the Soil Association) that can cause health problems such as heart disease, osteoporosis, migraines, hyper-activity. The Soil Association has banned hydrogenated fat, artificial sweetener and monosodium glutamate. Organic food contains higher levels of Vitamin C, essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron and chromium. COST There are no hidden costs in Organic produce compared with the cost to the taxpayer of water purification to extract pesticides etc that are used in conventional farming. HOW DO I KNOW IT IS ORGANIC? Any organic product sold in the UK must by Law display a certification symbol or number. When you see an organic symbol you can be sure that the product complies with minimum government standards.
